Our Story
"Nobody is going to work harder for your career than yourself - the one with the vision.
No matter how many people you hire, nobody is going to get is as much as you do.
So it's really important to be your own leader at all times and not hand it all off, otherwise the whole empire will fall apart."
Skylar Grey
Bright Side Productions emerged from a determined, passionate and slightly frustrated Perth artist's dream to make the industry a more empowering, inspired and sustainable place.

After graduating from seven years of training at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA), Amy was excited to enter an invigorating industry and become the next big thing. But, after a strong dose of reality, she realised how grounding and inspiring it felt to make her own work and empower the brilliant artists around her. It felt good to stop relying on people in positions of power to determine her self worth.

As a primary school teacher, Amy also understands the power of educational theatre and how The Arts can provide a safe space for kids to grow their confidence as individuals. Bright Side aims to inspire young performers to follow their dreams, whilst providing enriching training opportunities grounded in reality. When kids see kids other on stage, an immense storytelling power is released.

Before Bright Side, an accessible mentorship program for emerging artists trying to find their feet didn't exist. We also provide accessible, inspiring, personalised guidance for those looking to courageously take their career into their own hands. It will arm you with the tools to pave your own way as an artist, strengthening your creative skillset and belief in your abilities through meetings, honest chats and practical workshops.

All it takes is the courage to reach out and get started.

Bright Side is here to help in any way we can,
