THE SHOW

Filter Fun Park is an exciting new educational musical designed to explore and highlight healthy eating choices through singing, dancing and hilarious food puns. The show is aimed at young Australians, mainly students in Years 2 - 6.

We’re looking for 20 talented local kids to join the cast!

THE PRODUCER

Amy Fortnum, who founded Bright Side Productions and wrote Filter Fun Park, is a double bachelor WAAPA graduate from Perth. Some career highlights include singing alongside Anthony Warlow in Titanic: in Melbourne, playing Princess Beauty in the 2023 pantomime 'Sleeping Beauty' and performing at Crown Theatre in 'The Boy From Oz!'

She also won 2019 Fringe World Best Cabaret and the 2018 Julie Micheal Cabaret Award.

Filter Fun Park workshop participants will also be learning and performing alongside seven professional musical theatre actors and educators with heaps of experience working around Australia in shows, and even overseas!

During the holiday workshop, we’ll dance and sing A LOT! We’ll allocate roles, teach you everything you need to know and you’ll learn heaps from our professional cast too. Then, in our technical rehearsal, we'll be at Yagan Square working with microphones and teaching you how the show will run when we have our audiences. Then, it's your time to shine!

This is a rare professional learning experience you really don't want to miss

There will be a $195 fee for each participant, which covers the two week program, costuming etc.

Rehearsal location also includes Kadidjiny Park Hall on Jan 17

Theatre Workshops: January 15 - 18, 9:30am - 3pm @ Kardinya Lesser Hall

Technical Rehearsal: January 19, 1:30pm - 4pm

Dress Rehearsal: January 20, 1:30pm - 4pm

Show Dates: January 21 - 27 (excl. Jan 24)

8:30am - 11:30am
